FORM WITHIN A FORM

Producing this series felt like a creative birth. Allowing one form to evolve from another carries a sense of nesting—a warm, secure sensation. I used a coiled clay technique to build the structures, and several pieces were pit fired. The surfaces are finished with underglaze, glaze, or terra sigillata. Working with this concept has ongoing resonance for me, and I am certain I will return to it in future work.
